Bench Vs Squat Deadlift Progression - from ironaddicts.com

Your bench should NEVER progress as fast as squats or deads. I am not sure why that is not common sense, but almost all beginners expect that their bench should go up at the same rate their squat/dead does.
Bench=15-20 MAX of muscle mass, and that is a high estimate.
Squat=75% of your muscle mass. That is an accurate estimate from research.
Deadlift 85% of your muscle mass. That is an accurate number.

Why would one expect a lift that uses a relatively small percentage of your overall musculature to progress at the same rate as something that uses almost your entire body?
